Welcome to Scuttle. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Scuttle mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “App”) provided by Scuttle (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Scuttle. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you may use the App only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, complete information and to update your profile if it changes. We may suspend or terminate your account if we suspect any misuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

• Post content that is abusive, harassing, harmful, obscene, or misleading

• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers

• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or interact with the App

• Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of any photos, pet profiles, and content you create using Scuttle. By posting content to the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the App and associated features.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload.

5. Intellectual Property

Scuttle, including its name, design, code, and branding, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use our content without permission.

6. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Scuttle does not provide veterinary advice. Always consult a licensed professional for medical concerns related to your pet.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data or interruption of service, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) in the past 12 months.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the App in a harmful way.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the App or email. Your continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts of California.
