Hi. I'm really glad you’re here.
So we built one.
Scuttle started with one little hermit crab named Wyll. I brought him home, fell completely in love,
and immediately got overwhelmed. I was deep in research mode every night, trying to figure out
heat gradients, humidity, diet, enrichment, molting, you name it. Every site had something different.
Every guide assumed I already knew everything. I just wanted to care for him the right way.
That’s where the idea for Scuttle came from. What if there was a place for people like us, exotic pet
owners who want to do better, but don’t always know where to start?
Scuttle is a care companion, a research library, a reminder system, and most importantly, a little
community of people who get it. Whether you’re taking care of a tarantula, a snake, a crab, or a
gecko, you deserve tools and resources that are clear, helpful, and kind.
Behind Scuttle is a small team of friends and animal lovers. We’re artists, researchers, and pet
parents ourselves. This project is deeply personal to us, built from scratch to make the kind of care
we wish we had when we started. No jargon, no judgment. Just love, learning, and a lot of little legs.
We hope Scuttle makes your pet care a little easier, a little better, and a lot more joyful.
